At Faith Community Pharmacy, it’s time to GROW! For the past six months, our Board of Directors and senior leadership has been working with consultants from the One Source Center for Non-profit Excellence to gather research, dream big and create our next strategic plan and one thing is clear .For Northern Kentucky to be on the the healthiest communities in the nation, we need to grow!

Our research, in partnership with the University of Cincinnati and St. Elizabeth Healthcare, has revealed three very important facts:

• Our intervention results in dramatic health improvements for our patients. A study of more than 100 of our diabetic patients showed that average A1C levels decrease more than 20% (from 9.23 to 7.69) after two years in our program when receiving diabetic injectables.
• There is a significant population that likely needs our support, but is not receiving it. A study conducted by UC looking at demographic, health and insurance data demonstrates that there are likely multiple times the number of people in NKY that needs assistance than what we are currently serving.
• There is significant population shifts which will impact how we do business. Specifically, the Spanish speaking population we serve has grown from around 5% of our total patient population in 2022 to more than 11% of our patient population in 2024.

Faith Community Pharmacy envisions a future where all our neighbors can live fuller, healthier lives. If we want to bring that future into reality, we have an obligation to turn these findings into action. We must increase pathways to care so those individuals who need help find their way to our door. We must continue to expand our formulary so the results we’ve already achieved can be expanded. We must adjust our model and our team so that EVERYONE, especially our growing Spanish speaking population, receives the best care possible. And there is so much more, but none of it is possible without your help.
